Health and Safety Measures

We have been hard at work preparing a safe environment for our swim school families. As we adapt to ever changing state and county guidance, the below is a summary of the safety standards that the Jim Herrick Swim School will be implementing. These procedures are subject to change based on updated information and recommendations from local, state, and federal authorities.

Masks: Per State and Local guidance, all fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a mask at our outdoor facility. Individuals must "self-attest" to their vaccination status.

Vaccination: While we do not require vaccinations for all students and families visiting our facility, we highly encourage all those authorized for vaccination to do so.

Disinfection: Our facility is maintained and thoroughly disinfected daily by a dedicated janitorial staff member. Additionally, our staff will increase the frequency of disinfecting all high-touch areas such as countertops, door/gate handles, bathrooms, and deck chairs throughout the day. Our pools are maintained by a licensed pool technician and operator daily. Our filtration and disinfection systems are operational 24 hours a day and our chlorination/sanitation levels always meet those recommended by the health department which are proven to eliminate pathogens, including coronavirus.

Personal Hygiene: Our facility will always have adequate supplies to support healthy hygiene, including hand soap, hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol, paper towels, tissues, disinfectant wipes, and trash cans.
